What if you wake up after taking a nap only to see your children are missing! Yes, this scary moment took place for an Oklahoma mother when she awoke to find her three children gone.
Well, the good news was they weren’t kidnapped, but they took the family’s car out for a spin! The eldest one just six years old, drove the SUV in reverse.
The kids traveled a few blocks before slamming into another car. Fortunately, they were not seriously hurt.
“You teach your kids ‘no’ in a lot of things. Don’t stick your fingers in the light sockets, don’t do these types of things,” says Enid Police Capt. Jack Morris. “Well you can do the same thing with your vehicle and your keys, and let them know that is something they never touch.”
Police say the whole thing was an accident. CPS will still be called out to look into the family.
Incidents occur, accidents happen, we understand! So, how would you safeguard your kids? Well, if you’re at home and not going to be available for the kids even if they were just a few mins, always make sure the doors are locked and the kids aren’t able to open the door without your permission.
If you were a mom in this situation what would you do ?
