Amal and George Clooney adopted a 4-year-old basset hound named Millie on Wednesday, according to the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society in California, which released a photo of the couple with their new dog.
George and Amal Clooney have a new addition to their family – a cute basset hound mix named Millie.
The happy couple adopted the four-year-old rescue pup from San Gabriel Valley Humane Society shelter on Wednesday.
Millie was found homeless and begging for scraps outside a restaurant earlier this month, and was taken in by the shelter.
“Today her luck changed for the better when she was adopted by George and Amal Clooney,” reads a message on the shelter’s website. “They were searching for a basset hound and saw Millie’s picture on Petfinder.”
This isn’t the first time the actor has rescued a dog in need. In 2010, he adopted an overweight shelter dog named Einstein.
