Annie Leibovitz captured an intimate backstage moment between Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, and the Facebook C.E.O. loves the resulting image.
Leibovitz set up a studio backstage, and portraits of many more luminaries in the worlds of technology, business, and media at Vanity Fair’s New Establishment Summit, which took place in October at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Zuckerberg was attending the event to appear onstage at the event with Michael Abrash, Oculus VR’s chief scientist.
Father-to-be,Mark Zuckerberg, then shared this beautiful pregnancy photo taken by Leibovitz on Facebook with a message that clearly says he is ready to take on one of the most memorable, if not challenging chapters of his life that are ahead of him – FATHERHOOD!
“This is a stunning photo of Priscilla,” Zuckerberg wrote on Facebook. “I love her expression: intense yet kind, fierce yet loving, leading yet always supporting others. Thank you to Annie Leibovitz for capturing her spirit so beautifully.”
The Facebook chief said that he hopes to share video of his daughter’s first steps in virtual reality, so that his family members can be fully immersed in the memory. We wonder what Mark and Priscilla’s policy will be on social media for their kids!
