It’s always tough for single mothers who want to go back to school. Many have to rely on babysitters to keep their little ones and if for some reason they find that they have no one to keep their child, they face having to make a tough decision…….either skip class or take their baby/child with them.
Well for one single mother, it was a tough decision to make. Amanda Obson, the Nashville single mother and student, had to bring her son to school with her, and the understanding she received was more than she could’ve asked for.
When Amanda Obson arrived to her class at DeVry University with her 2-year-old son she says the toddler got up and walked towards her professor. Professor Joel Bunkowske picked up the little boy and held him during class and didn’t skip a beat while lecturing.
“Most of us in the class are parents, so everyone was very understanding that he was there,” Osbon wrote to News 2.
Obson admits to be somewhat embarrassed initially until Professor Bunkowske mentioned that everyone has their own struggles and that it’s okay.
If only all professors were so understanding!
