The mentality that healthy is what’s important and not a number on a scale, is great. For too long woman have been inundated with an often unachievable ‘perfect body’ image, so it’s so refreshing to hear celebrities and athletes publicly state that the feel more attractive, healthier and stronger when they gain a bit of weight.
Whitney Cummings thinks gaining weight is awesome! Here’s what she has to say about how she felt about gaining weight :
“I did this weird thing that nobody likes to do anymore where I gained weight. I gained like 25 lbs., which I think I needed to. I was way too skinny before. Here’s the thing: When you’re on television, you get confused. I looked like I was passing away … and I put on, like 20 lbs. I think it filled out … People think I got a face-lift.”
“I feel like all the advice to girls nowadays is ‘Lose weight! Lose weight!’ They say you have to pick your ass or your face and I’m picking my face, but I hope somebody else picks the other one!”
Ronda Rousey also shares the same feelings, she says:
“I felt like I was much too small for a magazine that is supposed to be celebrating the epitome of a woman. I wanted to be at my most feminine shape, and I don’t feel my most attractive at 135 pounds, which is the weight I fight at. At 150 pounds, I feel like I’m at my healthiest and my strongest and my most beautiful.”
