This talented, 12-year old kid’s video is going viral online. The video was published on youtube in Jan 2016. Watch the video.
Hello everyone! This is Sparsh, and this my debut clean cover of Eminem’s song, “Not Afraid” (with my classical touch) from his album “Recovery” as my rapper avatar, “PURHYTHM”. I feel like “Not Afraid” has been my power song ever since I heard it for the first time and Eminem became my idol in the rap genre. He has inspired me so much with his powerful songs and lyrics (minus curses), and I aspire that one day, I could get to meet him and sing (or rap!) with him. It’s always been my dream to inspire BILLIONS of people one day with my musical talent, and I wish that dream comes true. Please like, share, and subscribe if you liked my cover! 🙂
Big thanks to my parents for their support and special thanks to Pratik Shah for recording this for me at your studio!
So, who is this kid?
Sparsh is a 12-year-old talented boy who was born with an incurable disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta, which makes his bones extremely fragile/brittle, due to which even a hard hand shake can break his bones. He cannot bear weight on his hands and legs; and hence cannot walk or run like other normal kids. He had more than 125 fractures so far in 12 years of his life and God knows how many more are yet to come. But God has gifted him with a wonderful voice and a brilliant mind. He has written several original songs and composed their music too. Despite of all the challenges, Sparsh’s spirit is unbreakable. He aspires to sing in front of a billion people one day and inspire them that even a kid like him with such a severe medical condition/disabilities can achieve his dreams. Sparsh’s rapper avatar name is “PURHYTHM”
A week ago, Sparsh Shah comments on one his youtube video:
This is like a dream come true! My rap idol Eminem’s Shady Records Team recognized me and mentioned that my cover song “Not Afraid” was an inspiring one!!! I am out of words and cannot thank them enough!!! Bowing Down!!! This is the challenge for me, all my friends, family members, fans and all my supporters to get Eminem’s attention too. Please share and/or retweet (@SparshPurhythm, @Eminem, @Slim_1_Shady, @ShadyRecords) this link below to Eminem, so he can personally see my video and connect with me.
This wise and confident young man is schooling all of us grown folks by choosing to focus in on his abilities rather than his disability. How often do we take things for granted? Never, ever take good health for granted.
Imagine not being able to walk. This kid is amazing and you don’t see him using his disability as a crutch, whining, complaining or sitting on the stool of “do nothing.”
This boy is such an inspiration, in a way, he’s sending all of us a message,
Here today. Gone tomorrow. You are responsible for your own happiness and this life goes by too quick to live and die in fear.
